Anyone seen them? Been looking at laptops for the missus, want something portable that we can take away with us etc. Its pretty much got the same sort of spec as my current laptop-half the price and half the size. Been difficult getting hold of one though as they been sold out everywhere but picking one up tomorrow

on it now, keyboard is bigger than i thought it would be, impressed so far. battery life is around 2.5 hours ish, but they are due to bring a 6 cell battery out soon that you could get at a later date. tbh it is a similar spec to my current laptop but half the sizee, just doesnt have the cd rom drive but as its for travel dont really need it

If it's dim when it's not plugged in you have to turn it up a bit

So, which is "better"?
I'm guessing the Asus is smaller still?

asus eee is smaller but keys are so close together hard to type, and screen is smaller so you have to scroll horizontally more. battery life worse than the wind. wind has windows, 80gb hdd and the new atom processor whereas the eee, depending on which model has flash memory and linux, and struggles with windows as i think max they have is 20gb hdd. may want to consider the acer aspire one which is out soon aswell
