ok may be a silly question but are speakers just plug and play or do i need a disc to install them onto pc to get them to work, have got a different pc now and when i plugged speakers in they didnt work, n i know the speakers work 200%

Nah plug and play providing your soundcard is installed (probably part of the motherboard anyway)- but you may need to configure your sound devices in Windows.
Go to the sound section in your control panel - and see what is setup for the output device!
