Hello all,
Basically im going to be buying an ipod dock for uni, to save me having to take my stereo with me (quite large).
I have narrowed the choices down to two, with research and demo's.
The dock needs to primarily sound good (function over form).
What are you opinions?
Gear4 DUO - Not even in the shops yet £150
I love the design of this one, how it can be both portable and docked, the only thing that concerns me is the sound quality, as i cannot hear it beforehand.
Gear4 DUO
The stats sound ok, but im unsure still.
2 - Jamo ipod docking system, reduced from £300 to £150 (and its older)
I also like the design of this, but i feel its more function over form, it has less features to go wrong, like the connections in the duo etc.
Not the best link but it gives you an idea.
Jamo system
Does anyone know if Jamo are a good brand, i personally havent heard of them before, but im not hugely into my audio due to the expense.
Are they equivalent or better than say Bose or teac?
Cheers for reading, and passing your opinions.

Or, as i say to everyone
Take a look at the bose companion speakers, there are 2 versions
The bose companion 5's do surround sound, plug into youre computer, and you can easily connect ure ipod, extremely small aswell £270
Or the bose companion 3's which are £200 and do the same, just not with surround sound

Listened to the bose today, the actual dock, it was the new portable one with the lithium battery etc and they didnt sound as good as the jamo's did.

Nice suggestion, read about this bit of kit in Stuff mag, too pricey for me tho, £400 odd arent they?
I think im swaying towards the Jamo system, its so user friendly, stylish and it sounds awesome! think its one of those brands that are quite specialist and not many people know about (correct me if im wrong).

Jamo make some quality kit to be honest, we recently installed some in-wall Jamo speakers in a swimming pool, sounded awesome
