but all the other dials are working... (speedometer, petrol, temp etc)

anyone else had this trouble? what could it be!??

Have you checked your fuses? You may have a cable speedo and not wire, so that'll always work.

V plate should be electric not cable.

Not all the clocks are on the same fuse no, like the speedo for example, is on the same fuse as the cigarette lighter, my mates blew his cig lighter, causing speedo not to work, causing the engine to think it wasnt moving, so wasnt mixing air/petrol right, so kept cutting out. All because of the cig lighter fuse
