Any lights that shouldnt be on whilst the car is running,will be an MOT failure id have thought.As its saying there is a fault.

It probably means that the lambda sensor is on its way out.

yeh im an mot tester too and it will pass if its just the light as long as emissions are ok. only light they can fail a car on is the ABS light, cant even fail it for airbag light on.

I'm no mechanic but would the emission light being on not mean the emissions would cause it to fail?
