Mainly, in attempt to save weight, from what i have now.
Plus my mate has just bought my bucket seats, plus they look better

fair enough, but alot of work, for not much gain ?

add the weight of the bars your puting in, and the sidemounts, and you wont be far off a decent tailored subframe

How much, and where from, can you get a decent tailored subframe which fits properly? I can find one anywhere. That actually replaces the original subframe and hooks over the hooks and bolts down at the back......

I would rather go for this, if you can find where to get them.....

Might be an issue if you're tall, side mounts and welded rails will allow the seat to sit a lot lower than some off the shelf subframe.

Sounds better option as the seat can still be slid back and forward right...?

yeah you can do, about £40 each iirc

you can see how low they sit, when you look at the cap between wheel and seat

its massive compared to alot of cars with buckets, you sit really low in them

Aye, i didnt realise you could buy kits to do the same as this, but we decided to have a crack, didnt take too long, few hours actually.

Sits pretty much bang on, very happy with them.
