Its good but you can see where its been chopped and lowered (see arch).

Keep at it and you will get better.

yeah i did realize that after i done it, i now know i can zoom in and get closer to things and make the "cut" better

Graham your looks worse then his, you would never have that much of a drop down shadow from the arch

not bad for 1st attempt, and for teaching urself, i did graphic design at college and spent half my time doin photoshops lol but now i havent got adobe had to have the pc rebuilt.

For a first go, thats not too bad.Although where you have lowered it, it reminds me of an RC kit car where you place the shell over the chassis as you can see it under the arches apart from that though, its good.

Arches again

Select around the arch (on the inside)
Select into a new layer and name it shadows (if you're as particular about me with naming layers)
Get a soft edge brush in black and light go around the edges and it should appear like a shadow...

Yeah they look alright mate, the arch bit i was pointing out wasnt the bit graham corrected, but it was the bit where the sills now sit below the arching lining.

In the second pic you can see what i mean clearly on the rear wheel.

my little play, had to use paint.net as my work pc wont open fireworks or photoshop

Will try and get onto someone elses pc later and make it look better and touch some bits up
