Lol as above, any ideas what power inverter can run hair dryers and straightners from the corsa? No such thing as real camping any........... Home away from home more like. Cheers for any suggestions

Sorry mate but two we have bought dont work. They power normal items but not heated items

A 300W inverter should be able to do it unless it's a big hairdryer, I expect it's not working properly because of the power needed to heat the element. Only other option is a proper big one, which will definitely run it, but will also be overkill and expensive Plus you would have to leave your engine on pretty much all the time so the battery doesn't die.
See if you can find out what power the straighteners need, it should say on the casing. If it's more than the inverter supplies (probably 300W) then that's why it doesn't work

just got back from a first time camping with the missus
couldn't find ANY that would power straighteners....
however call the site, most have power in the shower block that will sort her.
otherwise, tell here she's going camping!! can't wee in the tent either!
