Mines has just started this bloody awfull intermittent beeping.
Its hard wirred though so wont need batteries.

Mine beeped at 3am the other morning, opened it up, saw it was hard wired, put it back together and it's done nothing since

It will start to do it again.
mine are hardwired, but have a re-chargeable battery which get fubar after a certain time.

they need to have batteries in case its an electrical fire that cuts the power to them
