There has been some surprise transfers, and some predicted ones, but has there been any transfers that you thought would happen that didn't?

The one for me is Diego Milito, I thought he would have either gone to a top Spanish side, or Spurs/Arsenal, but he went back to Genoa. I think he's class.

I thought Finnan would go to Villa but when they bought Luke Young I thought maybe Man City or Newcastle.

Cant argue with that, one of the most shocking moves of the decade I'd say.

I thought Arsenal would buy a handful of players, yet they didn't do any business. Think they will struggle in all honesty. Only need a couple more injuries and they are relying on untested youthes.

I think Wenger would have loved to have blown £50m, however I can't help think behind the scenes there is money issues, too many good proven players have been let go too easily to get the funds in.

Arsenal def have issues behind the scenes and doing well to keep it quiet - which is the way it should be. Have seen a few comments in the past from Wenger saying he has cash to splash and then from board members saying they need to balance the books!

Robinho was easily the biggest shock as said. As was Keane for me, as didnt really see that coming at the end of the season. The price for Berb was a huge shock too - as he just isnt a £30m player by any means.

Finnan leaving wasnt really a shock Jiz, was expected, but to Espanyol was as you said. It was part of the Riera deal and who wouldnt turn down a 2yr swan song in the sun!!

Robinho is a huge shock, doubt he will be there long though. Man City won't ever be successful IMO even with some oil baron backing them.

Kenny Miller to Rangers shocked me because I didn't think Rangers needed anymore useless pricks in the squad. And I didn't think WS was stupid enough to pay £2million for him.

Thing with Rangers is they're finding it hard to adapt ever since the Goram twins left, they're used to playing with 12 players instead of 11 and that extra GK saved them alot of dropped points.

If everything he is saying is true (not specifically players, but willing to spend that much) then they will win the CL in the next 5yrs easily imo.

I thought Barry would be a a sure thing, until he played in Europe with Villa obviously!

I expected Arsenal to bring some more kids in at the last minute.

I'm also surprised we got Berbatov, it was looking like 2 seasons ago when I thought we'd get Hargreaves and we ended up waiting another season.

I thought Arsenal would have strengthened more than they have, thought Barry was away and i thought we'd have signed a left back

Most of the prices in this window shocked me. Football has gone mad.

Keane -£19million
Berbatov - £30million
