Been at college for the last 2 years,
and basicly what i did there,
is not getting me any jobs that i was hopeing that it would.

so now im going to go down the Microsft root and hopefully that shll get me some were.

i am looking into doing the MCTS vista cert,

just looking for any advice on this.. and if any body has done it.

70-620 is extremely simple, it won't get you any jobs though.

You need to do more to get an MCITP, either server or enterprise, the other exams aren't quite so easy though and you need to know quite a bit about windows server and networks, active directory, exhange etc.

My advice is, every man and his dog wants to work in IT. Choose a different career path IMO. I did.

yeh i was looking at going into the MCTIP isnt that like enterprice tho? like support?

tbh i love it,
find it rather simple,
enjoyed every second at college with building systems and setting up local networks.

nd i dnt wanna go into plastering or electical ect..
every one i no doin that

There are 2 versions of the MCITP, equal to MCSA and MCSE.

The first one is to do with running the networks day to day, the harder one is more to do with designing them.

What you've done in college won't even be close to what you need to know to get them though.

thats why i was going to start of with the MCTS which is basicly just installing vista and setting up ect.

and then build on to that

I have the 70-620, if I didn't need it for the MCITP enterprise I probably wouldn't have bothered.

If you've used vista at all it should be easy though, 4 hour exam, took me about half an hour.

yeh i have the vista home prem.
did read up on some reviews on the book,
says that for some things that you will need ultimate?

what job roll are you in if dnt mind me asking, and what job did you get with ur MCITP

I've not got my MCITP yet, working towards it but bored to tears.

I'm in a bum job roll atm, fannying about until I find something I want to do.
