i've got a thomson speedtouch wireless router from aol. the aol disc setup does not support the wireless card i'm using so it says to configure it myself but i'm stuck. i managed to connect wirelessly to the network but cannot access the internet from it. its the usual page cannot be displayed and if i use aol software to connect it doesn't pick up the tcp/ip.
i can access the internet through ethernet cable no probs
what settings do i need to change to get the internet working wirelessly/ thanks.

I'm guessing the AOL router will have a Wep Key and SSID printed on the bottom/side sticker. It will have minimal security set. You need to open the wireless card configuration on your PC/Laptop to enter the SSID and Wep Key. If you are unsure you might have a wizard setup on the wireless configuration software installed on the PC/Laptop.

make sure all the passwords match on the router and all the pcs.If that still doesnt work go into the start menu and find aol and go into the aol one click fixes.Find the one that says fix wireless connection(or something like that) and click on it.It should fix it for you.
