in the picture it has windows xp, is that a picture of the actual tablet for sale?

Good point, it can have either, has an xp licence but I've been running vista. That pic is one direct from IBM, but the tablet is in great condition.

It runs it fine, I have had no problems.. The ram helps..

Yeah, well it has a pen you can use to write on the screen using handwriting recognition, or just use the pen like a mouse.
