anyone know anywhere in the Edinburgh area I can go to 'jam' with some people? I play guitar but the people I have lessons with are all over 40 and into Folk music (I pity the fools) so I wanna go and play with some other people into the same music as me (coldplay, radiohead etc).

Anyone any ideas? Anyone want to start a Corsasport band

Start your own mate - go in Soundcontrol in edinburgh - (if you want the address i can sort you out) and stick a note up on the board asking if anyone local interested in starting a band.

Major tips:

---Dont play covers for gods sake

---Dont play stuff thats the same as everything else on the radio i.e. Coldplay etc.

---Listen to every type of music thats every been produced for inspiration.

---Smoke weed

---Promote yourself

If I lived near you I could be the 2nd guitarist.

Sounds like you're into similar music.

I jam with my younger bro sometimes. He's better than me and has been playing 1/3 of the time I have.

If youve got the money buy a digital 8 track - i got a second hand one for £250 and its the mutz nutz - just record yourself and keep building up - get yourself a cheap bass - after all, if you can play the guitar you can play the bass and maybe a drum machine too.

I got like over 2ks worth of elctronic kit that i use with my band but i do my own stuff too.

Pity I live in Scotland really or we could have together for a wee jam. I'm into other stuff like Martin Grech and more kind of underground stuff. Just trying to get together with people to play some music in a group really, fed up playing on my own.

Corsasport Band:

Chris Bingham - Guitar / Vocals
PeteMTBer - Guitar
buffcore_laney - Drums
Blode - Bass

What we called then?

My band is called Pinkeye

May I just point out that I joined the band when it already had a name. I personally hate it
