For those who haven't seen it, read this first:
Saturday i set about fitting the box. I didn't manage to take any WIP pics but but i got some on making the air temp sensor fit and and the throttle cable roller.
It was a very long job and i had a few complications such as the throttle body hitting the bulk (hammer and a dolly soon sorted that), wiring for the TPS and ICV needed to made longer so the loom was pulled about abit.
Now it all works but when i start the engine up the EML comes on then goes when u drive off, also sometimes the car stalls when u come to a stop.
I didn't use my original ICV so i think i'll fit the original to try and sort that, also gotta do a paper clip test to read the fault codes.
I haven't booted the car due to the little problems but when cruising its very smooth and runs fine.
All comments welcome.
Thanks
Graham

Look's like you've done a good job there.
Have you not thought about maybe making some more and selling them on?

em light is probably either icv or egr valve. clean both out and re fit, but you may still get an intermittent em light now and again, nothing to worry about though,

both egr and icv were cleaned before fitting.
The icv was not original known working one, it come with the tb i bought so i'm gunna put my original on.
My egr has got a blanking plate on it, actually directly under the valve, could this cause the eml to come on?

yes it could.
to be honest i you will probably not be able to get the car to run without an em light appearing, just take the bulb out or learn to live with it, as from my experience and what iv heard from others the em light comes on on most cars that have had an aftermarket inlet fitted, unless it is a mantzel inlet that has been fitted with the proper egr valve feed pipe back in to the inlet manifold.
just get it driven, see how it goes,

and by the way, your cold air feed to your air box needs modifying, and you airbox probably needs modifying too-
would recommend the 3 pipe mod to the air box, and the cold air feed- cut the original cold air feed pipe about 4 inches from the box and join that to a proper aftermarket cold air feed and run to somewhere cold. there is also a resonance tube on the cold air feed that is good to cut off and block.

I have the feed on mine, and still get the light coming on now and again. Mainly after a good hoofing when slowing down in 5th.

yeah that sounds about right dean, exactly what mine used to do, then the em light bulb had a delightful meeting with the bin

Sorted!
I had the fuel tank vent valve feed from the charcoal canister connected directly too the manifold and the Map sensor where the vent valve feed should have been.

Right, after a few days driving i've found that:
Low revs: little more torque pulls nice and hard.
Mid range revs (2.5-3.5k): Lost torque, engine revs nice and freely but doesn't pull as hard.
High revs (3.5-6.5k): PULLS LIKE A TRAIN.
I'm starting to make a MK2 box now, lol.
I'm planning on making it from ally and make the inlet holes bell shape to help the flow.
