its the fact that you are putting a high power turbo into a corsa that brings in problems. The whole car will be under immense stress, unlike TB's where you have an even power increase across the entire rev range, the turbo is a kick in the balls feeling when you gun it. What sort of upgrades are you looking at for brakes, suspension etc? Also remember that the 20let weighs a fair bit more than the 20xe. Reliability IS an issue too on the 20let, they require lots of care and attention and wont stand up to the same level of abuse that the 20xe on TB's will. What gearbox are you opting for?

c20xe - 0-60 is between 7-7.5 secs
bhp is either 150/156, depends on the engine u get

i would rather go for the C20LET, if u get a proper fitting kit like from PVD which is designed to take the strees the instant power from the turbo wont harm the corsa

id love to stick my right foot down and when the turbo kicks in just have a massive grin on ur face

Tho for both conversions turbo and 2.0 with TBs id say get a LSD so u can actualy make use of the power uve just bought

for suspension and brakes id say for both conversions:

Coilovers with high poundage springs to suit

V6 disks, calipars and braided hose lines

yeh 2.0 or 2.0 turb u will still need tah change brake disks, gear box etc!!!

i wud opt for the turb!!!! u get loads of bhp n torque wen u do it!!!!

u get bout 150+bhp on 2.0 not including kno mods!!!!

strengthened everything, to about a fortnight to sort out, i like both 2.0 and 2l turbo's. but its down to preference

Nah, but turbos do often burn out after about 80K miles.
Someone mention 0-60 times etc.
Well, 0-60 times are all down to traction, the better thing to look at is 1/4 mile times (generaly, 0-90/100).
The 2.0l 16v (150Bhp) will run 0-60 in an Astra in 7.5 seconds. Because the Corsa is a hell of alot lighter than the Astra you'll be looking at more like 7 seconds - possibly slightly sub with an exhaust and filter and if you get good traction. As for 1/4 mile times it seems the 2.0l 16v runs around the 15 second mark, (15.00, 15.1, 15.2) possibly just sub 15 seconds with additional light tunning and with a tad of weight removal. To put this in perspective for you, my Punto GT turbo with exhaust, decat, bleed valve, dump valve, filter and chip (at 160Bhp) will probably run 15.4 on a decent run. Another example would be a VTS or 106 GTi, these two would run around 16 seconds as standard.
With the 2.0l turbo a fast 0-60 could prove difficult because of the massive amount of torque low down - this would result in chronic wheels spin so without the aid of LSD you'd probably expect 6.5 seconds maybe. With the 1/4 mile you'd definatly hit mid 14's with a decent run. Additional light tunning and LSD and low 14's are easily possible.
This is all "in theory" but I have seen results that agree with the figures I've mentoned.

PS, V6 brake = Poo

Either go for a 2.0liter (256x24mm) setup with good disks n pads or just go for a 285mm Hi Spec conversion, or even better, a 310mm.

A standard 2.0litre Corsa will hit 60 in between 6.5-7.5 seconds, depending on engine, driver, conditions etc.

U fitted a 2.0litre n a 2.0litre turbo, but u posted askign whether a phase 1 chip will fit a 2.5 V6

If you go turbo and you want more power you need your bonnet bay seam welded but it's well worth the money. At 275 bhp you'll be able to give porscher 911's a hell of a hard time.

Because the Corsa has a smaller master cylinder than what the brakes were originally from (Cavalier etc...)
