post your opinions on these, what are the engines like, do they like high revs? they are a subset of Audi, right? dont know much about em but they look pretty kewl and they have a good reputation for reliability

I think the Polo Gti is a lovely motor, not sure on speed but id say there fairly nippy!

polo gti isnt very fast but probably built fairly decent

i love em, just a bit pricey. mate works at vw head office but even with the 20% discount she could get me i as still looking at about £14k brand new

yeah - ive been lookin up on the net the 1.4 16v like a sports version is 100bhp (2000-2002 range) insurance shouldnt be too bad either

Lupo's nicer.. with the 6 speed box... and wheel at each corner handling. Still not as quick as the 106 though..... and still expensive

yea, Lupo is the way to go. Mate of mine at school had the Polo GTi. Nippy but not fast and cost a fortune. The interior was sweet though.

Lupo eh! i thought the only varieties they come in was 1litre do they produce a sports version? whats the bhp like?

Lupo GTi has the same engine as the polo GTi

and both enjoy gettin the nuts rev'd of them

IMO the lupo is much better than the polo.

Polos are maxy poo cars.

That does indeed. Love the Xenon headlights

Saw a 1.8T Lupo at Rockingham at the weekend.. competing int he VW Racing Cup. CAme 32nd in both races.. this was against Beetle RSi's and a Golf R32... very impressive!

My mates Polo GTI got wasted by a Paxo VTR at crail......really! Both had good starts, Paxo just pulled away on the straights. If the Paxo wasn't made of Tango cans, it would have been slower. The weight of the GTi is more I think.

youd be suprised at how big they are inside. almost same amount of room as a corsa
