right update.......... took the skirts off today and the sills are fine, car is still booked to have front bumper sprayed and tidied, wing repaired and both sprayed, sills, qaurters, door handles and skirts also sprayed next week. the holes underneath will also be welded properly, and previous repairs redone, undersealed then stone gaurded, sealer and repairs under bonnet will be removed, repaired properly, a skim of filler to tidy up and sprayed along with rocker cover. new exhaust is ordered from ebay which will need mating to xe manifold i would imagine. then to dave a if i can contact him on here to set carbs etc.

then the black vinyl on boot will be re-done by a sign writer, rear viper removed, lowered 60mm, pressed plates, a decent bonnet (bearing in mind it needs a vent for carbs along the way though) and a deep dish set of 15s, maybe some smoked rear lights too..............all these later thing will be when cash allows though

and

Fist + face = Problem solved.

Does the seller own and mot ramp? Is the seller a mot inspector?
I'm assuming no and no - it's your responsibility to check the car as you are the one parting with your cash.

Then how can you expect the seller to know they were rotten?
Should he of stripped bodypanels off for you to look underneath them?
No, the responsibility is yours to check as much as you can, if the seller doesn't want you to check these things then walk away.
