If they were that dangerous then they would surely be banned from fitting inside any car
Anyways the clue is in the name SHOWcage its not gonna be use for rallying and maybe putting the car on its roof.
In the off chance that did happen then it wouldnt be anymore dangerous than a big Sub box in the boot of a car coming loose and smashing you in the back of the head

How can you regulate the selling of something that doesn't have any standards?
Referring to one of the £99 pound belters: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-ROLL-SHOW-CAGE-CITROEN-SAXO-PEUGEOT-106-SUPER-LOOK_W0QQitemZ150298642465QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150298642465&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

THERE ISNT ANY
and you loose no seating as well
Apart from if it is.
As has been said it's some metal bars in the back of your car and all are not made equal.
