well if its a shoutcast server, you normally listen from a cilent like winamp (www.winamp.com) and that supports plugins, and I'm pretty sure theres a plugin so you can record the streams to a mp3 file. Next you need to get the music to the mini disc, depends on what model you have, a friend of mine has some sony job which has its own software so you can put music onto the minidisks via a cable and do it like 5x real time or something. Or the traditional way would be to play it once you have downloaded it, and have a cable coming from your output on the soundcard to the minidisk players input. Of course the minidisk player needs to be able to record minidisks aswell, hope this has helped. btw this is all theory, I havent done it myself, mp3 players is where its at

If you want to record a RealAudio stream, try a program called TotalRecorder

You can try this...

http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/

I use it with Winamp 3, now and then, and does the job .

BTW it just rips the stream to mp3.

Bye,
Dai.

A mini disk wil only take 80 minutes of music if you record it through the headphone jack

thats a good point mate, but if the stream stops/fucks up for some reason, thats the whole recording down the drain, or he could have it on mp3 and correct problems/have it on both his computer and MD.
