My girlfriends friend is seeling her Polo GTI (W reg). Now my girlfriend really wants it so we have been looking at prices etc.
My girlfriend has a
X reg Ford Fiesta 1.3 Flight
23k, 5 door FSH, Full MOT etc and immaculate
Gonna try and get 3k for it although the market is full of them
The other car is
W reg Polo 1.6 GTI
3 Door
85K, FSH, Standard except coilovers
£2900
Is the Polo worth that? Would you sell the fiesta and get the polo or try and get the pounds together for something different? She likes StreetKas etc.

polo GTI really nice cars quite rare aswell, nippy, well built, good looking. its worth the money aswell was looking at them few months ago and there going anywere from £2500- £4000.
check the gearbox on the polo aswell because ther very weak.
dont think the fiesta is worth 3k more like 2k.
if you can get the polo for 2500 you have a very cheap gti with lowish miles.

i looked into getting a polo gti about 4 months ago - get yourself on clubpolo and read their buyers guide.
the gearboxes are very weak, to the point of them breaking almost randomly (or so i've been told)
pistonheads is (or at least was when i was looking) full of polo gtis at the point of breaking lol
85k is not amazingly low and the gearbox should be the first thing you check (and double check) on a car with those miles

Im going to be biased and say get your self the Polo Gti, i've only got the standard Polo SE, but really preferred it over the Fiesta. Imo i think the polo is worht a bit more than that so snap it up while you can

also check too see if the clutch pedal on the polo has been replaced. As these are prone to snapping. (happened too me on my S3) if not dont worry too much as its quite an easy fix.
