how do i know what bits to buy?

whats difference between type 1 and 2?

Pre 97 is type 1 and Post 97 is type 2 iirc

I thought kit 1 was for corsas that came with an 8v and kit 2 for corsas that came with a 16v engine

B3KAN is right its for the 8v and 16v and also power steering / non power steering.

type 2 is for 16v and 12v iirc
type 1 is for 8v
