Alright people. Seens as though i'm off work till saturday and i've finished uni for easter I thought I should spend the time to get rid of them little things that ya just never get round to doing. So...
Heres the list of things i've got to do.
Adjust handbrake because it doesn't hold when sat on a hill.
Sort my heater control lights cause they haven't worked since I had my car broken into.
Raise my headlights.
Firstly, how do I go about adjusting the handbrake? I haven't got a haynes manual and cant borrow one. Its a '98 1.4 16v Sport.
I printed off the guide of how to change the heater control bulbs but at the bottom it says that they have tried it on a few corsas but a '98 Sport was different. Typical. Anyone?
When driving at night if a car comes towards me I cant see the road very far ahead. This becomes un-nerving at times. I need to raise my headlights so dipped beam shines furthur. Still keeping it legal though.
Any help would be great. Scans from a haynes manual would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.
Pete.

For raising the headlights, have you got the height adjuster turned right up, the wee wheel beside the headlight knob...? I have the same car and my lights are fine!
Centre console lights are a right bastard on the 98+ sports, I think it has to do with having air-con, altho not all sports have this. Tried mine a few times but just give up!

Headlight adjuster is set to its highest position.
I'm down 60mm on 15's thats why I cant see far.
I havent got air-con so cant be that.
Halfords has selofane wrapping on the damn haynes manual. I already tried that

this is a REALLY old trick to adjust headlights and im not sure if it works on all cars iv just tried it on a couple of old fords etc.. there shud be screws around the headlight that when adjusted properly can tilt the actual headlight itself this mite as i said solve the problem but then again it mite not. i learnt this from experience in the garage i used to work in.
to adjust the handbrake i think if u remove the handbrake gaiter there shud be a bolt thing on each side that u can tighten or loosen. correct me if im wrong but its the best i could do at the time

I'll need to update that guide.
The bulbs on later models are at the front of the unit, if you remove the heater knobs and take off the front panel, you will see the bulbs. As in picture below...

Cheers for that. Thing is, how do you get the air-con knob off? I know how to do the other 2. It's probably really easy but don't wanna do it without some guidance incase I break something!
