afaik, they closed in late 80's and then they were bought by some one and now still make cars?

or it could be truimph i am talking about!

2006.. moved production to russia iirc.. but i dont think theyre in production anymore.. infact the local tvr dealer isnt tvr anymore

i am sure the russian bloke bought it few years ago! did not think he moved production to russia.. wouldnt be too good because of the costs of export fees they would have to pay to get them from russia to any other country?

russian millionaire gave it to his son iirc.. also lots of car companies export their vehicles.. Fiat for example.. My car took 3 months and came from the factory in Italy.

well european union is different u see.

its same as u import car from america..well in a way.. u have to pay taxes here.. as were in russia u would have to pay tax to export it... i think that for new cars anyway!

Georgia is applying to become a EU member state & Russias dead against it as they think the West want to use it to their advantage to spy on them.

Thats because they cant afford to compete with forgeign companies who have much lower running costs.

Tvr is owned by russian afaik.
and i didnt see any russian soudning names in that PH link...

Colin.. i reckon when Obama will becom ethe president(februaury is it not?) the way america, russian and EU talk to each other will change a lot.

the guy who owns ginetta had the choice of buying TVR or ginetta, but the russian guy got his bid together quicker than him, so he bought ginetta instead.

O and I know some other stuff about ginetta too, (insider stuff)

russians took over in 2006 and tryed to make tvrs move user friendly etc, but this didnt work and went bust.

TVR will live once again soon.
