P0335 - Cam shaft sensor?
Revs at idle 1.2k - 2k sometimes tries to stall sub 700rpm
Cleared the code off and went for a drive, doesnt seem to drive wrongly, pulls alright (but im used to 2.0TDI). Doesnt hesitate. Upon changing gear, lift off accelerator and depress clutch and revs seem to fly by about 1k, dont think this is my poor driving style, definetly something funny going on there.
Revs in 5th gear at 60 = 3.2k

Update
Over on AstraSport Ive been told I should clean the throttle body and then I might need a new sensor. I can see how to clean it from their guide on there (remove the air pipe and push the butterfly valve in and scratch a cloth round soaked in carb cleaner?)
It does say if its not been done for a while might need to remove TB completely, but makes no mention of how to do this. The car is 50 miles away so I cant go out and look now but if anyone can find a guide with pictures that would be good. I have googled but am finding nothing.
Also does anyone know how to replace the Crankshaft sensor on these engines?
