ummmm bought it 2 years ago - it was the one above the core (came with hard drive etc)
using components at the mo

If you've bought a HDMI cable, you've wasted your money...
Only Xbox's from mid 2007 had HDMI (started upon release of the Elite) then after a few months, they put the same boards into standard xbox's.
Yours will only be PCOMPOSITE so 720p/1080i is the best you can do.
