Iv thought about getting a snow foam lance. Havent got an outside tap at my house to connect a power washer to
However, we have a really heavy duty powerwasher at the farm for washing the lorries. Unsure on the make, we bought it from Viking (not sure if they make them, or they just sell the power washers, service them and sell soap)
Anyone any idea if Viking is a brand of powerwasher?
EDIT
Just found their website, and its a cleanwell power washer

I just dont want to spend 40quid on a foam lance, my washer itself only cost 55quid!

I use the HD Foam Lance, have used it for 18 months or so with my Karcher pressure washer. If it blows up again and is out of warrenty im going to buy a Kranzle.
The cheap foam lances give very little foam and the detergent bottles or pipe built into the pressure washer are even worse. Better to spend the money and get the proper kit.

I'll be using Zymol sponges next year when the cars aren't too dirty

I have been using them for a while, Im tempted to go back to washmitts though and see if I notice any difference as I think they are swirling my car slightly.

You lot are a bunch of weirdos, I don't have the mentality to spend that much time cleaning a car
Maybe if I had something worth cleaning, but atm I cba. I do want some foam stuff though, it's cool. But I don't know if the Kramer thingy will attach to my Halfords Pressure Washer

They are not actually bad tbh, some people will say they are crap but thats because they are called foam lances and dont actually produce a foam.
I have got one of those aswell, and with the right shampoo mix in it, you can produce a good enough lather to pull top surface dirt off the car before you rinse. They are worth £15, they fit great and are indestructable unlike some foam lances people have owned.
Well worth a look for some one who doesnt want to spend alot of £s

Thanks for that, what do you mean by right shampoo mix?

basically you will have to try different shampoos to see which one produces a nice lather and then try different amount of it to make it thicker.
I have around 5 different products ive been trying, and i am also tinkering with the lance itself to adjust the air flow to possibly get better results, gonna play around with it after christmas and put a thread up.
Do not expect a foam like the expensive lances though.
For anyone who has a karcher, they are defo worth a look, but dont go and get a karcher just to buy this. It is a cheap handy tool to have and people who arent really into their detailing will find this helpful

Yeah I mean I am not a big car detailer so anything that just gets the main layer of dirt of is what I want. I need one of these before I wash my car in it's current condition or I will massively scratch the paint using a sponge. But I don't want to spend loads as I'll barely use it.

I was dreading washing mine today the amount of dirt that was on it
Turned up the detergent on the power washer though to get a load of soap on it though, closest to snow foam I could get!

not exactly pointless when you compare the results of a detailed car to a simply 'washed & polished' one imo

A washed and polished one just needs done more often, which the detailer will do anyway with their 'detailed' version.
