erm i fitted new front lines, they didnt go quietly either, so with some snips and a grinder they were off

old


new


then upon bleeding the system, a rear cylinder popped, so its getting new ones, and new shoes.

Why do you buy these kind of cars and spend loads on rerplacing bits, surely you lose out on them in the long run

Would the 1.25, 1.4 and 1.6 Zetec lumps all run on the sale loom?

Like swapping a X14 to X16 in a sport?

I only ask as im considering putting a 14 or 16 in my fiesta.

honestly i got it to keep my mind busy,

and if i was to sell it knowing that a part isn't right, i wouldn't be able to sell it, for all i know a mum could get it and have the kid in the car and the brakes could fail,...

no, not doin that, i would rather spend a few quid and know that the best of my knowledge its a solid motor

Yeh it was pretty smart. Sold it on now though. New owner is doing cams etc on it to make it full racing puma spec rather than nearly racing puma spec!

My mate who owned it has a better project on the horizon now!

Not MHW's iirc. He got them from German eBay so they weren't the "brown" smoked ones. He DIY'd the headlights, and did the fogs to match

You're right actually. The rear reflector bit isn't so dark on MHW's.

its a bloody handy tool

that and a hammer and blowtorch

its in for its mot, and i will get it back and do the rear brakes, for some daft reason it passed on the brakes yet i know the rear cylinders are not happy.

so theyll get done when i get it back

I try not to be one for making harsh comments on peoples cars but you must love wasting money mate

You have probably spent over what its worth, MOT's are near £50 now adays plus all the parts

close to what its worth, i know, no more is being done, when i get it back ill think weather im keeping it and drive it for a year, or sell it and keep the audi,

got it back all mot'd, needed a new lambda sensor and that was it.
