Well I was looking for a corsa

And now I have 1 but I have been offered another

Got a 1.6 sport, and been offered an 8v sri with a nova gte lump.

Im wondering, will it be nippy? should I go for it, It really is cheap, I really like the idea of carbs, and stripping it

But what motorbike carbs would go on it with minimal work?

You're better off with the 16v, it would be nippy, but it starts off down on bhp and you're forever trying to get more, when you already have a better base.

Carb the 16v.

If you want the deep 8v roar keep the GTE lump performance its always got to be 16v, for some reason i've always though the 8vs sound better on carbs.

Is there not a lot less room in the 16v though meaning a lot less choices?

And will the 16v not be more expensive to carb?

It'll cost the same to carb either, you need the same bits regardless.

Space is at a premium, but it's not such an issue if you're using bike carbs as they can be angled, unlike DCOEs.

Do you mean in the engine bay because its a bigger overall size?
Carbing the 8v and 16v will cost pretty much the same or exactly the same.

you won't have any probs with the 8v but the 16v may be a bit tighter, but there is always the cutting out of the metal behind the engine option.

If you can get bike carbs on a 20XE in a Corsa bay, or TBs on a 16XE/20XE without any cutting, you can get bike carbs on a 16XE in the same space.

I had a Corsa B with a Nova GSi engine in. Was a brilliant car. Nippy for what it was.
