was going to get one of the wired in ones but i have seen the clip in ones are so much cheaper, was just concerned over noise quality and muting the stereo.

I've been looking recently at ones that will stream music from the phone as well as calls and play through the car speakers - all wired in with just a small control plate.

Looking at about £200 installed though

well obviously you'll have to mute the stereo but the sound quality is superb!

I have a Parrot kit.

Whilst they're compatible with all phones that have Bluetooth, they don't always work 100%. For example, every time I disconnect my phone (turn engine off and key out ignition) it resets the volume.

This is device dependent, but no, you can't have 2 phones connected at the same time. But you can have 2 phones 'registered' on the kit, but only 1 will connect. So 2 different drivers with 2 different phones can use it, but not at the same time.

Installation is a piece of piss, unless you have a complicated, 'modern' dash set up. i.e in a Corsa it's easy

Some do, known as conference calling. Some don't. Totally device dependent
