The other day I did the Nevis 134 meter bungy! off a cable car it was pretty immense! fucking scary moving over to the ledge.
The previous bungies I had done were about 46 and 43 meters and these seemed BLOODY high. So to do a 134 meter one, it was crazy high!
Few pics (I have video, but it's too huge to upload (I'll compress it when I get home to uk).
You have to waddle out onto that ledge, nothing to hold! then chuck yourself off!
Then today, I did a Nzone 15,000 foot (16,200 above sea level) sky dive! It was also pretty mental, beautiful clear sky, beautiful views - it's classed as a 'high altitude jump' so we had oxygen in our cabin
The highlight for me (weirdly?) was after freefalling for about a minute and the chute being pulled. The tandem bloke handed me the controls to the parachute (said put your hands in here), let go and let me control the thing back down from 5000 feet to about 500 feet. He was instructing me what to do, but we were doing big loopy style rolls in the sky and cork screwing down! was wicked fun and so easy to control! He took over for the landing mind!
Sadly the sky dive photo's cost $180! and I'm currently a bit low on cash so gave them a miss, but here's some from the same company / location / jump etc - to give you an idea! - not me.
It's kinda weird, when I think 'Today I fell 15,000 feet out of the sky!?'
Really cool experiences!
However, I honestly have no money left now. Credit card is maxed and my debit card is $1200 overdrawn not sure how i'll survive the next 17 days.

I did a jump at about 13,000ft was good fun, but didn't really give me the rush I thought I would get. Want to do something that will really shit me up, think bungee jumping is next.

You would do a skydive but not a bungee? How does that work then

To be fair, a sky dive is a lot easier to do than a bungy. A sky dive essentially you're just clipped on for the ride and the sky diver bloke does the jumping out of the plane and to be fair - once you're on the plane or (even more so) out the door of the plane there's no going back!
However, a bungy requires you to not only walk to the edge where there's nothing to hold on to, but finally chuck yourself off.
Another thing that was commented on is that when you sky dive because you are so high up, you don't get a ground rush, so even though you're free falling it doesn't feel like it too much. Although I must admit I did look at the mountains and think 'fuck they're getting bigger quickly'
But with a bungy, you literally throw yourself off and immediately feel yourself falling directly at the ground / water, so your body naturally starts trying to counter act the impact etc! (hence people's arms flapping about trying to stabalise / break their fall).
The main thing is though, just that initial feeling of lack of control with a bungy, when you launch yourself off the platform and can't do anything to stop yourself falling!
At least with the sky dive, the sky diver has full control over you, i.e. you're stabalised and he does spins and stuff in the air
I definately recommend to people you do both at least once in your life time!
