Decided to start training with my mate who does thai boxing, not any sparring or fighting though, I'm too pretty But just a lot of pad work last night, only Stuart isn't very accurate with his kicks, or maybe he is and I'm just stupid Its good stuff though, least I know its doing me good, could hardly ift the gloves at the end of the night

I'm going to my mates on sat night for DVDs but he just text saying to take my gear down so we can get the pads out in the garage. So Sunday is going to be another bad day The worst thing about it is he is a lot heavier than me so when he hits me it hurts whereas I throw little girly shots I'm going to hunt out someone of similar weight for training

get some protein, stops onset delayed muscle soreness, works wonders

if you ever want to feel the burn try wall climbing, you wont be able to move the next day.

The nature of what you are doing and trying to achieve, muscles are going to be sore. Got to remember progression is a principle of training and it pays to do a bit of preping. If you are new to the gym and the types of movements you are doing then the best thing is not to jump straight into lifting the heaviest possible weights focusing on set muscle groups, etc and get yourself and your body more acclimatised, engage all the muscles and supporting muscles with varied exercises.

this guy knows what hes talking about listen to him , im busy doing a ND in sports at college and when your doing weights you must do the supporting weights e.g. if you work on your quads, you have to work on your hamstrings otherwise the muscle difference will be unbearable

im not saying it wont hurt the next few days, i go to the gym with a guy whos been doing it for years..

idea of adding musle is your muscle tears then fuses back up, so its going to be painful..

hence the term 'no pain no gain'

thanks for the comments though guys

Definitely. Free weights and using your own body weight.

Yeah...doing squats works your quads...glutes and hamstrings... day after leg day all areas of my legs are sore... Work on my calf area seperately.
