have you used gearbox spacers? as i didnt use the spacers so i didnt need to extend the selector. all i done was bend the arm forward a little bit and it clears

you only exend the selector the same ammount you space the box.. if you havent used a spacer then no need for extending, go over eveything again you might have over looked something.. other than that im not sure.

been told this,not tried it.

go under car and undo linkage bolt,
inside car pull gear gaitor up,you will see a hole on the left hand side of the stick, and another just below it to the left, push stick over so holes line up and put a 5mm drill bit in it.

now in engine bay look down at gearbox and theres a black plug beside where you top up the gear box oil.

remove the plug and put another 5mm drill bit in there and wiggle selector until the drill bit drops down a bit.

now go under and tighten linkage back up.

remove both drill bits and hey presto

as i said i have never tried it but have been told off a few people
