I have noticed these are now around £250.
Simply is it worth the cash? Also will i be able to hold many raw files on a 4GB memory card?
Anyone that has/had one please tell me your experiences
Thanks

I have one and it's worth every penny.
You'll get around 500 RAWs on a 4GB card.

From what mattk on here has said, its a pain in the arse to get good lenses for it.
Personally I'd say a second hand Canon 400D - easily get one for £250 and easier to get better glass for it. I only really know Canon though, so a bit biased.

LOL
I have the Sigma 18-50 2.8 that easily rivals the Nikon 17-55 2.8. I also have the 70-300VR, Sigma 10-20 which are both ace. i've also owned the Nikon 105mm 2.8 VR, Nikon 12-24 F4 and the kit 18-70 which are all excellent.

It's not getting good lenses for it, it's getting ones which autofocus, which is quite a big thing imo.

People always use that as an excuse. Ok so the cheap 50mm 1.8 won't AF but there are tons of excellent lenses that do.

I've not personally had a nikon, i'm just going on knowing that autofocus is a big thing for me and people on here who have/had them saying the same.

i personally dont mid the fact you cant do auto focus on some of the lenses makes it abit more challenging lol
you get 539 with just raw images or 477 with raw and jpeg images being taken

Even if you did the D40 is more than capable.
