some of you lot will have prob had this done.....

What is the general outcome of the vinyl wrap after you've taken vinyl stickers off it? i.e do they peel off easy peasy, or do they stretch/mark the base vinyl covering?

i'm not worried about the paint....

We are planning a wrap... but we then need to apply sponsorship and other decals ontop of the vinyl. I'd obv like the vinyl wrap to last longer than a year!

AK, woodstock signs who did THAT tt should be able to help you.

their number is 01772614617, or google them.

From the cars ive seen and spoke to owners of, theres been no problems wih the paint below the wrap after its been removed.

Some of the camo wraps you see are done in layers so shouldnt have a problem with having sponsors over the top of the wrap

i can now see what you meant by doe the vinyl stretch in my experience with vinlys and stickers you might find it very difficult to get the stickers off the vinyl without damaging it i take you are asking because your gonna wrap it then put sponsors sticker on etc but if you change sponsors you want to remove the stickers

Theoretically they should last 7 years if done by a proper company as its printed vinyl. I've not heard of vinyl being applied to a vinyl wrap though before - presumably you cant just have the wrap made up with sponsors logos etc incorporated as they change annually etc?

if the stickers are heated up i cant see why they wouldnt peal off easily.

also the wraps are normally a thicker material than ur avergae stickers so have a bit more give in them, kind of a spongy effect.

If you heat the stickers on top of the wrap up they would probably pull the wrap off, I've done alot of vehicle wraps when working as a signwriter...not full wraps like the TT, but things like sky TV vans. Heating the vinyl up is by far the easiest way of applying it, heating it up to get it off/put it on to a wrap will just fuck the wrap up underneath, also, stick vinyl to vinyl and when its had time to fully stick it will be really hard to get off, will end up coming off in big chunks, taking whatever is underneath with it.
