How do you get RAW files to show as thumbnails on XP please? Its a proper pain havin to open each one in photoshop to see what it is!
Ive downloaded something raw file thumbnails or other off microsoft site but it doesnt work.

id like to know the same for vista tbh thats the only reason i dont shoot in raw

I was about to suggest the powertoy but if that doesn't work the only other place is the manufacturer (canon in your case I think) have a look at the site and see what they have, they are shocking in regards to support for this though, I can't get anything to support my 350d on vista and heaven forbid them making some 64bit drivers.

If i shoot RAW I always set the camerea to take a small low res JPEG as well

Download Canon RAW and Adobe Camera RAW - can't remember which worked for me, but I can see everything just fine in Vista

i've got Microsoft RAW Image and Thumbnail Viewer 1.0 on XP, and it works fine...
if thats what's you've installed - check the options for it something about cannon raw's in it, so i gues you need to check the box for it to show the thumbnails for them

I was just double clicking the pics in the normal folder and it was opening them in bridge, id have a fiddle with them then go to PS. Never really had a proper look around bridge

This may sound like a strange one after telling you to use Bridge but what is it for?
I've only ever opened it a couple of times and it just seemed like the file system bit with the options of doing batch actions and stuff via photoshop

Bridge is a file managers and is good for viewing images feeds directly into Photoshop too
