anyone know if it easy enough to set the mileage back on the speedo cos i jus had to buy a new set for my 1.6 sport as i accidentally broke the rev counter needle.

Yeah it's pretty easy to do. Takes alot of patients though.

Get a flat screw driver and push down on the numbers and flick back, once you get the hang of it its easy

cheers guys, well i might just wait for my mate to do it at the vauxhall garage, wont be so illegal then lol. jus dont want my mileage saying more than it really is

What I did was took the gear off that goes from the worm gear on the odometer motor, and stuck a drill on the end of the rod. Only had to go back 1k but it took like 5 mins

You have to find the right amount to hold the button in that resets the trip counter as well, otherwise it tried turning it back as well and will snap the clips on it.

take it to any garage as long as they see your old clocks with the milage they wil do it
