Thats animal instincts for you, if you have no record of your dogs biting or aggressive behaviour then you will be fine, at the end of the day cats are free roaming and your dogs go in the garden, i wouldnt worry its out of your hands if you ask me! its like when you hit a cat you dont have to stop, but if you hit a dog you have to stop....unless you just floor it. Lets face it cats are shit anyway

I think I may keep a pet lion in the garden from now on to deter any future cats from coming here, although I may be worried about it eating me rather than the cat
