Sorry if its a repost but i havent came across them before.
My cousin went to a car show, in USA last week, and came across these:
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.
Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...

Good idea but how much are they and how long would they last? I'd imagine the rigidity of the rubber absorbers would deteriate pretty quickly.

is this one of them old April fools jokes? those tyres could fill up with dirt and crap and then the wheel would be off balance.

Couldn't that be solved by covering the sides of the tyres? I think the tyres in the pictures are for demo purposes only.

Pointless tho aren't they, as 90% of members on here with low profile tyres and big wheels will be slightly buggered.

Looks gash, and i hope we never see them.
I can't imagine the handling would be very good either.
