Hi, just been out for a spin, and somethings gone on the car! Any help would be good!

Its noisy as hell - and there is no go in it what-so-ever!
It will pick up, but makes a lot of fuss about it and takes absolutely ages!
As far as I can tell, its has lost no oil or water, and the timing belt seems fine!
Had a quick look under the car, cant see any holes on the exhaust and no bits have come unjoined - there is some kind of cover on the bottom of the manifold though, seems like a plastic sleeve.
There is also no EML on, and the car managed to go about 3 or 4 miles to get me home!

Thats about all the info ive got- if anyone has any idea of what it may be, or what else to check

if its noisey then it will be exhaust, if the manifolds got covers remove them and feel for air blowing out

Thats cool, thank you!
Will give it a go in the morning!

If there is a hole in the manifold, or anywhere else on the exhaust, are there any half tidy bodges available? Or just get it fixed?
Just insurance is due in like a week, so struggling with funds! lol

alright then, thats that sorted!
I have a strong feeling that its gonna be coming from the manifold - so what sort of money are we looking at there?
Would there be much price difference between getting a standard one or an uprated one?
Cheers for the help so far!

tbh im not sure on the price of manifolds standard or uprated, depending on the engine of you car which i see is a 1.4 sport then i think there are good gains from a decent manifold, the only time ive ever had to get a new manifold was 4 a very troubled punto and i only bothered to get a second hand replacement, but if ur serious about the car spend money n get it a good one, if not a standard will be fine or even better look for some1 breakig with a decent second hand 1, if ur strapped for cash even tho its not a very good option as it wont last very long but u can buy exhaust tape stuff and this usually just finds another weak spot and blows it out, trust me u dont want the manifold coming off when u need to drive somewhere it fucked the punto i had.

UPDATE-
Managed to get the car to an exhaust place, and they swiftly told me that its not the exhaust, its misfiring!!!

So brought the car home, tried changing the coil pack, didnt make any difference!
So going to get new spark plugs and leads now!

Car is extremely hard to start up, but when its up, it struggles with hills etc - massive loss of power!
Hopefully it will be the plugs and leads, but if its not, whats my best bet?

Should I chase other things down? Fuel filter etc, or just take it to a garage?

It went when I was driving around, and its losing no oil or water!

If it's mis-firing, has the spark plugs been changed? Or maybe try some fuel cleaner as it could have a bit of crud in the system?

Failing that, i'd recommend taking it to a garage if all else has failed.

Iv'e given up and taken mine to a garage, as i got there i think my bottom end gave up (think it has anyway their still looking at it now)

Had a W reg sport a while ago that started doing this suddenly.

Not coilpack
Not Leads
Not Plugs
Not Sensors

Do a compression test tbh mate - Mine was Down on 2 and 3, and so suspected head gasket or valves - If the timing belt has slipped a tooth this can happen - Bent valves can be a problem.

I sold the car so didn't investigate any further..

Ahh right, cheers! Ive got some new plugs and fuel filter, about to go and pick up leads as they had to be ordered in!

I hope to christ that it is fixed after that!
If it isnt, then it will be off to a garage, and I just hope that it makes it there! lol
