driven quite a few of them, will do over 70 in second, are pritty quick and will do 130+ quite a few bits can be bought for them now a days im pritty sure you can get a cosworth kit which will bring the car over 210bhp, engines are reliable, body is excelent shape, handling is ace, comfort of drive is ace, i haven't driven a car like it really, very very impressed with them! And i wouldn't say no to owning one, if i had another xe corsa i would sell it tomorrow to have one thats how i view them.
Best advice, drive it around for a few months see how you like it.

JUst got it home.. Drives perfectly apart from a wee brake vibration, interiors spotless.. Needs a wee bit of paint due to some rust bubbling on the back arches but overall a good buy..
Will be for sale in a few weeks I think once I've got it up to scratch...

Same as my Mk3 Golf.Low down power/torque is non existent but keep it over 4k and its actually quicker than i thought.
Sorry i didnt txt ya the day lad,the car wasnt theyr when i finished work.Couldnt nip around 2nite either as the above mentioned Golf had toothache and lost a few teeth off the timing belt.Sore one.

Glad you got it and its all ok - sounds like a right bargain! Especially when you can sort the minor issues yourself!
Are you going to refurb those wheels too? If the rest of the cars brought up to scratch, they'll let it down imo

Yeh its getting both quarters and the boot painted on Saturday at my work rather than just blending the arches in and when I get it back I'm getting the wheels off to the powdercoaters and new centre caps ordered. Totally agree with you, would be pointless having the bodywork done just for the wheels to let it down..
Gave the interior a good clean today and removed the window tints so its looking a lot better already.

My mate bought one last week.
Nice car, goes alright to be honest, wont break your neck but it pulls well.
Handling is very good i thought for a standard car.
Bought from Ford main dealer but they had it for ages and did over £800 worth of work on it before he had it.
His is silver what colour is yours Kano?

My dad has a ST170, its his cruiser, he loves it, services at Ford and pays the price for it. MPG isnt too bad but then he only does town driving in it while its cold. Ive driven it once, very comfy, and responsive in low gears. Good for motorway journeys, very quiet inside with 6 gears. Looks good too.
I got a quote on insurance for one, 21 4NCB £800 FC from Norwich Union, so affordable

Mines the Magnum Grey, as above it does drive well for standard, pretty stiff for standard suspension.. Toying on whether I'm gonna lower it a bit or not..
