So basically it's the government assuming people are morons.
It's not saying they'll pay for everyones connection, just have access to 2mb broadband, which i'd imagine most of the country does already.
Agree with the article, we should be going fibre and making it a lot quiker instead of investing in out of date stuff

not read the acticle but i thought it meants giving people who cant get broadband the ability to get seeing as the entire uk is still not covered generally cause bt are lazy badgers
