I wanna get my bike out more this year than last... need to get fit and save money on petrol! Had my bike for years now, it's not really a road bike, but all I want it for is to ride to work and back (only about five miles away)
Basically I'm not sure what, as I've been out the game for a while, but want to spend around £175-200 to upgrade a couple of bits maybe!? Tell me what to do this is my bike as it stands...
I would consider selling it and starting again but I really dunno how much it's worth now? Including buying the thing in the first place spent about £450-475 on it altogether.

thats more of a jumping bike isn't it?so it wouldn't be that comfy to ride on level ground because your mainly meant to stand up on them, but if i was using it for road use ide put different tyres on, a better ratio of gears for the road by changing the chainset and putting a more suitable seat on that won't hurt after ten minutes haha

tbh, using that for the road/getting to work will be a complete ball ache. Looks like them wheels are 24inch too, which just makes things worse.
If the bike is in good running and working order, leave it be. May be get it serviced i.e. full strip down, regrease etc.
I'd say spend your £200 on a mountain bike, like a Giant Rock with some skinnier tyres on for your fitness and work riding
Then use the Saracen for trails abuse
Then if you get into it more, think of changing the bike completely etc
I've been biking for over 10 years, u2u me any questions. I could be here ages saying things.

Aye well might consider some thinner tyres for this one as they're 2.3" which isn't ideal for roads eh! But then again, more effort it takes will be getting me fitter won't it? lol
Not sure I'd want two bikes tbh, done that for a while used to have a Specialized Rockhopper FS as well but ended up never using either for years!

I have a mate who buys whole bikes on the bay breaks them down and sells all seperately and makes up to £480 a week profit. Cant believ it, sometimes he gets done and looses money but in the long run he makes a mint and has a lush bike at the end of it. I got bored one day and bought a £500 Specialized P1 i think in matt cream
Nothing compared to my £1500 trials bike that got pinched
Just trying to fabricate my bike rack to fit over the corsa spoiler

Giant Rock. Normally come with offroad tyres, but most bike shops will 'part exchange' the tyres for most road orientated ones.
They used to retail at £150ish.
We never had problems with them.
C2RL R - not a large bonce, just weirdly shaped his full face lid sits on the wonk.

Giant rocks are £189 now
Depends how much on road you want to do, if its mainly on road, then take alook at the specialized tricross
If its more off road, then take alook at the specialized crosstrail, or the marin novato etc
