I think that one is an android rip off.

Are you sure proper iphone apps work on your mates one?

I didn't know people really bought these

All I can see is it runs java apps, nothing about the iphone apps unless these are all java.

Its not better than an iphone though.

So for the sake of £30 you'd go for a knock off?

Yep. How many phone companies don't lock you into an 18 month contract though these days? I'm going to need a phone for the foreseeable future and can definately afford to part with the £35 a month, which is the same my N73 was costing on Vodafone, and that was on an 18 month contract.

I just remember my PAYG things costing a fortune.

Well I put £20 in a month

I get 1000 free texts, free calls, and free internet

So I wouldnt take a contract.

as above, I would rather stick with my Iphone.
the ONLY thing I cant do with mine is file via bluetooth, but then I cant remember the last time I did that.
The build quality on the iphone is exceptional, as is all apple products.

Yes your locked to an 18 month contract, but Im not fussed since theres no other phones that will come near to the iphone.
I believe the next iphone is just around the corner (the latest update has hinted at code for the next gen iphone), at which I suspect o2 will give contract upgrades to all existing customers regardless of their contract length.

If you want to pay cheap and go for knock off gear, thats your own choice, its not for me

The thing is SSJ, the unlimited data transfer is also one of the key features to the Iphone.
Whats the point in having an 'internet phone' if your going to be charged through the teeth for going online?

Also, does the Sci-Phone have 3g? I couldnt see it mentioned above.
