Went to see him last night at Hammersmith Apollo with my Mrs and my Sister.. Met JR and Willay there too (although inside the venue i couldnt see Willay anywhere  )
Was bloody fantastic. he was on for about 1hr 40 and went through god knows how many songs. Didnt bring out the 1 string diddley bow though 
also the warm up band "joe gideon and the shark" were really cool... mainly spoken word poetry stuff but it was ace.
The Shark is the coolest drummer ever

it worked well, as the standing crowd were close (espcially as he was standing in the audiance playing for a bit :lol , and added something, any bigger than the apollo and i agree it wouldnt work,
