basicly i just tried to fit a standard vauxhall cd player and my mfd is now faintly lit all the time and my interior light doesn't work so i thought stuff it and put my old jvc back in, now the mfd is still faintly lit and my interior light doesn't work but the stereo doesn't work unless my side/headlights are on and if i open my door the stereo turns off
hope somebody knows what it might be

i had this on a friends corsa sri! when opening the door the clock resert itsself,
was an Earth wire on the rear of the head unit touching a positve wire slightly, sighns of a bodged in sterio

it wouldn't suprise me tbh mate i've found a few bodges on the car from the previous owner.
so what shall i do mate take the plastic casing off the plug and look for the touching wires?

i found it in the dash loom, was about 3 inches down from the connecting block
