I'm after a tripod but every single one I look at isn't right for me. It's either too flimsy or it's too much money.

It'll hold a 450D with a battery grip and the big flash gun so it needs to be quite firm.

I also really want it completely black in colour, with a black carry case.

Ideally it'll have a ball head but as long as it has 2 levers I'll be OK.

Any suggestions? I'd prefer eBay so I can use PayPal.

Second hand one from a charity shop. Proper old school made of metal and stuff. Was only £10 or something

I have a Manfrotto 055 Xprob, and i love it, its a bit on the heavy side, but makes it very stable.

Well worth a look if you have the funds.

I went for a Camlink in the end. I couldn't justify £200 on a tripod but I also didn't want a cheap eBay tripod...

Got it for £55 delivered.

It's shit. I was going to get it but it's very flimsy and apparently can barely hold a SLR without a lens/battery grip. It's meant for little digital cameras.

My tripod arrived today and wow, I love it. It's all metal including the bit that connects to the camera so not what I'm used to. I used to use a eBay jobby and everything was plastic and felt like it was going to snap. I really like it.
