Still has them

Mine works perfectly everyday, take it to uni and work every week and also just around luton/dunstable. Love it! Can dawdle around at almost no revs and its fine, open it up a little and a massive appears!

Plus, I once got 42MPG from a full tank. Fact

Will have a look and see if i can remember what bits if i see you this week mate

I miss the noise from that exhaust when you blip the throttle low down

On the reliability issue. I'm soon going to be posting up pics of 14 bent valves I took out of mine at the weekend.

Was due a cambelt service I think though. The only other problems I've had with mine are the PAS pump not being in line with the other pulleys, sorted that by using a few washers. Also, PAS return pipe got a hole burnt in it by the exhaust manifold, it runs between it and the engine and they decided to touch one day.

Other than that it's been fine and is a phenomenal car when running sweet. I've been able to fix anything that's gone wrong with it as well and I'm not exactly a mechanic - they're a good mechanical engine for learning with imo.

I think I'll just use the EPS, normal PAS sounds a bit troublesome...

My 20XE was the smoothest corsa i've ever driven.

Even the guys who took it for it's respray said it was ooober smooth.

Daily drive it was great, could drive it like a diesel i.e 2000rpm gear changes and it never struggled.

I knackered a pump by still using the car when there was no PAS fluid in it and fun isn't the word I'd use

And I thought that my head gasket had blown when it happened because of all the smoke, arse dropped for a second!

Comes down to luck then tbh mate, I had one really bad engine which caused me endless trouble, replaced it with a known good engine and it was plain sailing

the only big problem i have with mine other than a slight oil leak (which will be sorted this weekned fingers crossed) is it seems to rattle all the nuts and bolts loose, i dont think there is a nut or bolt on my car that is not nut locked in place now.
