Is there a quick way to watermark pics using Macromedia Fireworks?
2 of my pics have been used on eBay and think I should really watermark them to stop it happening

you can do it in photobucket , but i never heard of that software you said. If you can't watermark you can sign them.

Just put it in PS and write in the corner using text and save the image

if you want them to stop being used by others best thing to do is make one cover the center of the image, as if you do it like graham mentioned then they could easily crop it out.
but yeh id use photoshop for it.

You could put writing straight across the middle or something like that like Matt said, or over an important part etc. You could make it 50% transparent so it doesn't completely ruin the image as well, if you want that.

Create an action of yourself doing the watermark you want and record it to a function key.

I haven't got PS only Fireworks and we only use Fireworks in school too, so getting PS would only confuse me
