Hi all,
Been looking at clutches from this site:
http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/product.php?productid=10328&cat=2&page=1
Going to put the uprated 1.6 on my sport 1.4 box as am sticking a 1.8 in soon.
Anyone with experience with this clutch or any other recommendations?

I emailed a company called mardi gras about helix clutches and had this response:
"Can you let me know the engine code of the Corsa Sport please"
Well mines an X14XE but as im plopping in a X18XE1 im gonna be wanting the X16XE equivalent clutch.
"and also if you know the diameter ie either 200mm or 212mm? Also the gearbox either F13 or F16."
And i know (assuming) my gearbox is a F13 but not sure about the 200/212mm Part?
"Do you need a fast road organic clutch (150lbs feet) or a race rally paddle clutch (200lbs feet)? "
Now i've heard the term *Paddle Clutch* a few times really now, whats the difference? And if there's no diff in fitment of this paddle clutch would it be in my best interest to get this one as it has 200LBS feet as i'm going to be tuning the 1.8

iv got a helix heavy duty friction plate and a standard pressure plate
you wont see more than 150lbft on the 1.8

So just go for the fast road organic clutch for a 1.6 then? Is it 212mm btw?
Not sure how much LBS is torque wise in relation hence the confusion

Also, if the clutch comes as a "3 piece set" would that be clutch, pressure plate and release bearing? Or does it vary?

3 piece is that yes
im 99% sure its 200mm, didnt know they done 212mm :boogle:
i went for a known make,
personaly i would trust a standard new GM clutch more than 'fast road' unbranded kit

Well if it's a helix uprated 3-piece clutch would it be worth while going for it?
Yea with things like clutches i think i'd rather go for branded stuff as it's a big enough potch getting a gearbox off, not like a simple air filter i guess

Warren: This is the price's i've had
If your flywheel has a 14mm step then this is the clutch for you:-
Cover £169.64
Centreplate £102.22
Release Bearing £17.19
Carriage is £12.50, then VAT must be added at 15%.
Think for this it'd be worth it?
